New Zealand
Speaking Engagements
When in New Zealand, Rachael Hughes is available to speak at your local church, organisations, community group (Rotary, Lions, Men's/Women's Groups) or function. Her story is an uplifting and motivating one, which shows how one person can make a huge difference in the lives of others. In helping to source speaking engagement for Rachael, you aid the charity in the spreading of the Living Hope story and open new doors for us to grow our charity. If you are interested in having Rachael speak at your event, please contact our administration office with either the dates you are interested and we will liaise with you from there.
Local Fundraising
Consider running a charity fundraiser for Living Hope – a youth group car wash, a sausage sizzle, a charity 'ticketed' dinner night, or you could speak to your kids school about a mufti-day fundraiser for Living Hope. If you would like help with this or need promotional material from us, please contact our administrator. We also have a page on the websites and which we can set up individual fundraising pages for individuals or groups to help promote their own fundraiser, with the funds coming to Living Hope.
Financial Support
Living Hope needs regular donors who are prepared to commit $20/$40/$60 etc per fortnight/month. If you could commit on a regular basis, please contact us for an AP form or set up online. Bank account: The National Bank 06 0193 0394121 00 Account name: Living Hope Trust (NZ)

Building teams
We are currenty looking for volunteers with building experience to help us finish the renovations of the shelter.
Summer Camp teams (dates vary within May to July)
This is usually headed up by a New Zealand group, and there is plenty of opportunity to be involved. If you are interested in helping at our camps, please contact us for more details.
Other volunteer work
Due to the language barrier, there is often not a real opportunity for volunteers to be involved in the day to day functions of the centre or actual humanitarian aid work. However if you are a Russian language speaker or have skills you believe we may be able to use, outside of the teams above, please contact us. For example; IT/computer networking skills, seamstress, security guard etc...
Other Information
Long term volunteering
Due to Russian visa application law changes the maximum visa available is 3 months. If you would like to be an ongoing volunteer, please be aware that you will be required under Russian visa requirements, to return your 'country of nationality' as shown on your passport for a minimum of three months at the end of your visit, before returning for another maximum 3 month period.
Language training
We ask all volunteers to consider undergoing some language training before arriving in Russia. Vladivostok is a difficult city to get around if you cannot read the alphabet or communicate basic phrases. Unlike other major international cities, English is not widely spoken in Vladivostok.
